It was 3-3 after one inning but U.A.W. pulled away from the Moose Friday in boys Major baseball action, the autoworkers winning 12-5 at Bracken Field.
The Moose scored three runs on four hits in the top of the first but U.A.W. plated three on Nick Whitaker’s triple.
U.A.W. pushed across four runs in the second, Tagen Drayer’s double the big hit.
U.A.W. iced it in the fifth scoring five runs off four doubles.
Whitaker and Drayer both wound up with three hits, Liam Cragg with two.
Drayer started and went five innings allowing nine hits and two walks, striking out six. Tyler Burlew pitched a scoreless sixth giving up one hit.
U.A.W. improved to 15-2, Moose falling to 8-10.
Cole Redrup had three hits in defeat, Matt Brundage, Bailey Volk and Brady Davis all with two hits.
