GUYS MILLS — Maplewood's Samantha Long scored 17 of her career-high 29 points in the first quarter to lead the Lady Tigers to an easy 66-47 win over Union City in Region 3 play.
Emily Ray finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers (7-8, 5-4), who opened a 25-6 first-quarter lead.
Brooke Reynolds led the Bears (0-15, 0-9) with 13 points. Megan Brown netted 10 points, and Megan Kimmy nine.
Maplewood won the JV game, 55-16.
