Do you have cabin fever?
Do you enjoy live music?
Do you play an instrument?
If you answered yes to any of those three questions, then come on out to Cabin Fever Jam this Saturday, Jan. 28, from 2 to 6 p.m.
The event, sponsored by the Spartansburg Community Foundation and hosted by Margaret and Joel Alsdorf and Barry and Judy Dalaba, will be held at the Spartansburg VFD social hall, 330 Main St. in Spartansburg.
“Come join the winter fun at the Spartanburg Fire Hall,” Barry Dalaba said. “Bring your instruments and friends and enjoy some fantastic musical talent. Everyone is welcome.”
Dalaba, known as “12-string-Barry” to his friends, founded the open mic summer jam sessions outside of the Dutch Treat Restaurant that locals have enjoyed for the past two summers.
The first few gatherings garnered four or five musicians, but by the end of summer, a dozen or more instruments played together.
Dalaba is hoping to pack the fire hall with musicians and music lovers.
“If anyone needs more information, call me at 814-676-3937,” Dalaba said.
Luke Ruot and his son Cullen will provide the sound system for the event. The SVFD auxiliary kitchen will be open to purchase food during the event.
