PLCB owner/manager training
Owner/manager training is offered and required by the PA Liquor Control Board as part of the Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP), which focuses on those individuals most responsible for determining daily operations and policies of the licensed establishment — the owner and manager. Complete training requirements and licensing information can be found on lcb.pa.gov. This local training session will be offered on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 8:45 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Corry Higher Education Council. All sessions are free and require registration on the PLCB website at lcb.pa.gov.
Job search and networking
Gain insight and key tips for ensuring your professionalism to positively standout in the job application and interview process. Participants will learn how to find jobs, networking basics, self-branding, to understand hard skills and soft skills and identifying transferrable skills. Also, to be discussed will be how to get a job with a criminal record. This free 2-hour workshop will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the Corry Higher Education Council. Digital Literacy Training is made possible by a grant from the PA Department of Labor & Industry and through partnership with Penn State Behrend Community and Workforce Programs. Participants that successfully complete the course will receive a Penn State certificate of completion. Seating is limited. To register, call 814-898-6103 or email behrend-ce@psu.edu.
In-person mock interviews
Has it been a while since your last job interview? Do you get tongue-tied answering tough questions? Interviews can be stressful but should not be overwhelming. Rebecca Whitney, talent engagement facilitator of PA CareerLink, will be offering mock interviews to help you get prepared and stand out to potential employers during your next interview. This free workshop will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, from 1-2 p.m. at the Corry Higher Education Council. This offering is made possible through a partnership between Corry Hi-Ed and PA CareerLink.
