Corry’s coed middle school soccer team lost at home against Westlake, 3-1.
Corry's lone goal was scored by Dylan Riedel, his fourth of the season, when he was able to chip the ball over the goalie’s head.
Riedel has scored a goal in all four of Corry's games so far this season.
Sam Burger, Bryce Maleski and Clarissa Cambra are credited for great defense, noted coach Kaylyn Whiteley-Nichols. “They all played very aggressive defense and made numerous passes to help setup offensive chances,” she said. “Also credited is midfielder, Jake Blake. He did exactly what we asked of him. He ran through the ball, controlled the center of the field and even had a few scoring opportunities.”
The next match is Monday at home against Seneca.
