ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. — Clymer’s dream volleyball season came to and end Thursday when the third-seeded Lady Pirates were eliminated from the Section 6 Class D-2 semifinals by No. 2 Ellicottville 26-24, 25-5, 25-17.

Ellicottville advances to the championship game on Monday versus Panama at 8 p.m. at Jamestown Community College.

Randi Farber posted seven service points, while Lauren Eggleston had two points, seven hits, one kill, one block and five digs.

Kaeli Einink had four points and nine assists, Dani Reinwald with nine hits, two blocks and a kill.

Meagan Legters came up with four blocks, plus four points, five hits and one kill.

“The girls went in strong and wanted to prove who they were,” reported coach Velvet Persons. “Meagan Legters had a great night at the net and the rest of the team also played strong.
