The Gannon men’s and women’s swim teams swept visiting Shippensburg in a non-conference meet.

The Gannon men (4-1) defeated Shippensburg (4-2) 170-108.

Corry’s Brent Benedict was a triple winner as he prevailed in the 200 freestyle (1:50.28), the 200 backstroke (1:56.29) and part of the 200 medley relay.

The Golden Knight men then lost to John Carroll 142-103 and the Lady Knights fell.

Benedict won the 50 free (21.1) and was part of the winning 400 medley and freestyle relays.

Corry’s Allison Ahl was third in the 500 free (5:40.48) and fourth in the 1000 free while swimming a leg of the winning 400 free relay.

Gannon has a meet Friday at Edinboro’s McComb Fieldhouse.
