ERIE — Corry’s girls soccer team suffered another shutout loss on Thursday, bowing 10-0 to Mercyhurst Prep in a match at Family First Sports Park.

Mercyhurst, the defending state champs, led 6-0 at halftime.

Sarah Kaiser scored three goals for the Lady Lakers, now 4-1 in the region and 9-3-1 overall.

Corry falls to 0-6 and 0-13, shut out 12 straight times.

“Our girls played well, we started a bit slow against last year’s state champions but played stronger defense as the game went on,” reported coach Gary Hogue. “Sam Pratt continues to excel in goal.

“She stopped several powerful shots from the Mercyhurst strikers,” he noted.

CAHS has its senior day on Saturday with a 10 a.m. match against Titusville.
