Corry’s middle school won Wednesday in three quarters as visiting Seneca didn't want to wait out the potential storm.
Due to thunder, the game was put on a delay right before the fourth quarter started. All players went into the school and after about 20 minutes of waiting, Seneca looked at the radar and decided they weren't going to wait.
Offensively Corry ran only 15 plays. Rylan Smith carried the ball three times for three touchdowns from distances of 59, 62 and 7 yards out.
Also running the ball was Mason Savitz. He had carries for 26 yards. WIll Allen three carries for nine yards and Nick Lesher one carry for 21 yards.
Lesher caught a 2-point conversion thrown by Nolan Carey.
“The entire defense played a great game,” said coach Craig Jaquith.
The Little Beavers head to Fairview next Wednesday.
Wednesday’s Fort LeBoeuf at Corry girls soccer match was postponed by thunder and threatening storms.
It will be made up on Monday at 6:30 p.m. after a Corry boys home soccer game with Eisenhower.
Corry’s boys lost 6-0 at North East on Thursday.
