TITUSVILLE — Corry’s golfers remained undefeated as the Beavers wrapped up the Region 4 title taking another mega-match first place in Monday’s match at Cross Creek Resort.

Corry had 335 team strokes and now has 20 points. Oil City was second at 373 followed by Titusville (377), Franklin (385) and Rocky Grove (548).

Tyler Hasbrouck led the Beavers with a 79 shooting 38, 41.

Teammates Micah Knapp and Max Rimdzius both carded 82s. Knapp was 40-42 and Rimdzius 42-40.

Nate James was next with 92, a stroke ahead of Zac Ahl. Reagan James shot 98.

Franklin’s Marc Knox was the medalist shooting 40, 38 for 78.

Titusville’s low man was Braden Roberts at 82, Oil City’s Jake Serafini shot 84. Low for Rocky Grove was Logan Patterson with 122.

The final region mega-match is Thursday also at Cross Creek, hosted by Oil City.

Region standings: Corry 20, Franklin 13, Oil City 12, Titusville 11, Rocky Grove 4.


In a girls Region 2 mega-match, host Union City placed fifth in action switched from Conneaut, Ohio’s home course.

Villa Maria was first at 129 followed by Mercyhurst Prep at 140 and North East at 143. Harbor Creek was fourth (171), then UC (191) and Fort LeBoeuf (208).

NE’s Lydia Swan was the medalist with her 36, Mercyhurst’s Sarah White with 39.

For Union City, Julia Watson shot 60, Zoe Magee 64, Jessica Messinger 68, Aubreyella Hunter 67 and Sophia Messinger 75.

Elise Dinsmore was low for LeBoeuf with 48.

The Conneaut mega-match is now Wednesday at Village Green Golf Course.
