WEST VALLEY, N.Y. — Clymer’s girls volleyball improved its record to 11-1 by sweeping West Valley (3-8) 25-13, 25-13, 25-22 in Division 4 on Tuesday.

For the Lady Pirates, Kaeli Einink collected 14 points, five digs and six assists. Jo-Linda Rhodes contributed 12 points — four of them aces, 10 assists and three hits.

Dani Reinwald had 11 points, four aces, eight hits and four kills. Lauren Eggleston contributed 10 hits and one kill.

Panama remained in first place winning at Sherman, 25-10, 25-7, 25-23.

Clymer hosts North Collins on Thursday.

UNION CITY — Cochranton clipped Union City 25-11, 25-11, 15-10 in Region 2 volleyball action.

The visiting Lady Cardinals (3-4) registered 18 service aces.

Julia Davis had five kills for UC, now 1-6.

Cochranton won the junior varsity match 25-16, 25-17.

Union City is at Franklin Wednesday and home Thursday against Conneaut Lake.

Tuesday at Lake Shore Country Club, Fairview’s golfer defeated the Union City boys 180-211, the Bears now 3-3.

For UC, Evan Dougherty shot 50, Matt Lowther and Troy Jackson 53, Nate Bailey 55, Ryan Thomas 61 and Joe Biebel 73.
