GIRARD — The Beavers' stretch of back-to-back-to-back matches ended with an 11-0 loss to the Yellowjackets on Thursday.
"The boys were worn out, and this is the point of the season where nearly every player is nursing some type injury," coach Jordan Schrecengost said. "The team still gave it their all and that's all I can ask for as a coach.”
Corry looked good at the beginning of the nonregion match as Aidan Kafferlin recorded the first shot on goal for either teams, and the Beavers were only down 4-0 at the half.
The Beavers ran out of gas and failed to shut down Girard's two best players who scored eight of the team's goals.
Corry's record fell to 0-15-1 overall and 0-13-1 in the region.
"We're taking our lumps this season, but it's only going to make us stronger and better moving forward," coach Schreck said. "We continue to learn from our mistakes and are focused on the future."
Corry was supposed to play at Iroquois on Saturday for another nonregion match but the game has been canceled since the Braves have too many injuries and are unable to field a team.
