HARBORCREEK — Corry’s eighth-grade boys basketball team had a strong third quarter and defeated Harbor Creek, 36-21.
“It was 21-14 at half, we missed some layups in the first half but the boys stayed patient and stayed disciplined in the third quarter outscoring Harbor Creek 10-2,” reported coach Mike Soprano. “HC had bigger players but Taylor Willis, Micah Knapp and Isaac Sproveri did a great job out-rebounding them.”
Willis led the scoring with 11 points, Knapp hitting eight as Corry improved its record to 7-1.
Corry’s seventh-graders lost to Harbor Creek, 41-16.
Brandon Arnink led the Littlest Beavers with six points.
The ninth-graders lost to Harbor Creek, 21-34.
“We were outhustled for most of the game,” noted coach Kurtis Fox.
Nathan Gentilman had seven points in defeat.
The seventh- and eighth-graders are playing at North East today.
