LAKEWOOD, N.Y. — The Clymer-Sherman-Panama boys proved a point in the track and field opener Thursday against Southwestern.

CSP prevailed by a point, 71-70.

Josh Odell won the 3200-meter run in 10:29.4 to clinch the win. Clayton Manwaring won the 400 (57) and the 200 (26.3). Ryan Carpenter was first in the 800 (2:22.1) and John Luden won the long jump (18 feet).

CSP won the 3200 and 400 relay races.

Clymer-Sherman-Panama lost the girls meet, 88-52.

Shantel McCray won both the 100 (13.3) and 200 (28.1) dashes. Holly Eliason won the 1500 (5:23), Rebecca King the 800 (2:34.9) and Ashley Beckwith the triple jump (29-8 1/2).

CSP won the 3200 and 1600 relays.

The home opener is next Thursday versus Westfield.
