HARBORCREEK — Corry’s boys and girls ran their cross country records to 5-0 yesterday with easy wins over Harbor Creek. The Lady Beavers took the top four places in a 16-41 victory, the Beaver boys taking four of the first five spots in a 20-41 triumph.

Rachel Munsee won the girls race in 20:54.44, followed by Sam Owens, Taylor Grenz and Danielle Munsee.

“Miranda Cummings and Megan Blakeslee both had significant drops in their times,” said coach Mike Woods. “They are really starting to find out just how good they can be.”

Jordan Wingard won the boys race (17:14.45) with Austin Pondel third and Jared Colvin fourth.

Chad Wiler finished fifth.

“Chad had an especially strong race and both teams ran well,” said Woods.

Corry is to run at the Cochranton Invitational on Saturday, then host Union City and North East Tuesday in a region meet that will be held at Mead Park for the first time.
