LAWRENCE PARK — Corry’s girls soccer team made one goal stand up in a 1-0 win Saturday over Iroquois.

The goal was by Thea Weibel on a pass from Jaushlynne Anderson.

Shelby Liller was the shutout keeper.

“This was a close game, both teams fought hard,” reported coach Gary Hogue. “Thea put us ahead on the assist from Jaushlynn.

“The defense kept us in the game and Shelby recorded our first shutout, it was a great game by the girls,” he said, citing 13 girls for outstanding play.

Corry is now 2-4, Iroquois 1-3-1.

The Lady Beavers travel to Erie today to meet Strong Vincent at Hamilton School
