CONNEAUTVILLE — After an impressive comeback to tie the game in regulation, the Union City girls basketball team fell to Conneaut Lake last night 48-46 in overtime.

UC, who slipped to 0-9, was down seven going to the fourth quarter.

“The girls played hard and did a nice job of keeping their composure and battling back in a very intense, road game,” reported assistant coach Frank Snyder.

Megan Kimmy scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss, Megan Brown with her best game bucketing 13 points to go with 10 boards.

Brooke Reynolds made two 3-pointers and finished with eight points.

Lanie Murray and Taylor Lucian combined for 27 points for the Lake, now 2-7.

Union City travels to Conneaut Valley on Friday.
