WESTFIELD, N.Y. — The Clymer girls played just one game in a scheduled tournament over the weekend, losing to Randolph on Friday, 50-36.

Saturday’s games were postponed by the weather and will be made up on Jan. 6.

Against Randolph, Clymer (1-1) fell behind 18-10 after one quarter.

“We started off slowly, got behind and could never catch up,” reported coach Scott Neckers. “We got the lead down to five points a few times bit couldn’t get any closer.

“We didn’t shoot well — 21 percent — and they did — 41 percent — and we got outrebounded 38-25,” he noted.

Lauren Dunnewold had a double double in defeat, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. She also made four steals.

Jenna Covey and Nashia Duryee both had seven points, Sydney Beal five. Covey collected five boards, made four steals and had three assists. Duryee made four steals.

Randolph made 10 of 12 free throws.

The Lady Pirates travel to Forestville on Wednesday.
