There will be plenty of new looks this high school football season, but none more than the new-look merged Sherman/Clymer team.

There is no nickname yet.

Sherman’s Ty Harper is the head football coach.

The team will play home games in Sherman on Sept. 13 and 27, and at Clymer on Oct. 4 and 25.

Clymer’s Dave Bodamer and Marc Heiser are varsity assistants. Dan White is now a junior varsity assistant. Bob Newton is not coaching football.

Practices will alternate between Sherman and Clymer practice facilities.

The first practice is Aug. 18 at Sherman running from 8-11 a.m.

The team will be Section 6, Class D. That division features defending state champion Randolph, Cattaraugus-Little Valley, Frewsburg, Panama, Portville, Pine Valley, Franklinville-Ellicottville-West Valley and Westfield-Brocton.
