You don’t see many shutouts in the French Creek Valley Women’s Softball League.

Let alone a no-hitter.

But that’s what happened on Monday when Nicole (Sawyer) Glass took to the rubber for NAPA Auto Parts.

Sawyer fashioned a no-hitter, with no walks and six strikeouts, in an 11-0 win over Healthy Smiles.

Eleven different players collected hits.

Janel Pike had three singles, Shaina Hansen with two singles, Lindsey Smith with a single, home run and two runs batted.

Carrie Hall belted a base-loaded, three-run triple and Stacie Balcovic drove in two with a triple. Jackie Joy had a double and RBI.

With one single each were Erika Mack, Nicole Waychoff, Karalee Kemp, Kyleigh Lawrence and Glass.

NAPA is scheduled to play at Hartner Trucking in Lowville tonight.
