The Erie Outlaws had a strong first-half showing Saturday in the Grid Iron Football Alliance championship game at Sheen Field. It was just enough to hold off Butler, 24-20.

Playing under ideal weather conditions, Erie jumped ahead 17-0 after a 14-yard touchdown pass to Moe Williams.
