GIRARD — Corry was unable to field a full team and had to revise its lineup in Wednesday’s 5-0 tennis loss to Girard.

It was the Jackets first win of the season, CAHS now 3-13 overall and 1-9 in the region.

“We were missing some key players in Alex Sloane and Andrew Carpenter, this made the difference for us in that everyone had to move up a position,” reported coach Al Gernovich.

“Still, Sara (Silka) fought hard in her first singles match losing the first set in a tie-breaker. And at first doubles we pushed the second set to 7-5.”

Josh Schrecengost and Alex Sloane are entered in Saturday’s District 10 singles tourney at the Pennbriar Athletic Club.
