CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS —Union City's baseball team was held to just three hits Wednesday dropping a region contest at Cambridge Springs, 12-1.

The host Blue Devils led 5-0 after two innings and put it away with a seven-run third.

Miles McCaslin started for the Bears and was charged with five runs on five hits in two innings. Steven Reed went 1/3 of an inning giving up six hits, four walks and seven runs. Kyle Meyers threw 1 2/3 hitless innings with one strikeout.

UC's Daithin Kent scored the lone run in the fifth.

Meyers had two hits and stole a base. Reed had the other hit.

Brock Cunningham drove in four runs for Cambridge. Winning pitcher Jaden Grubbs struck out six in two innings and scored twice.
