AKRON, Ohio — The Erie SeaWolves couldn't overcome a first-inning grand slam by Jeremy Lucas as the Akron RubberDucks held on for a 4-2 win Tuesday in front of 8,319 fans at Canal Park.

Dean Green hit a solo home run in the top of the second inning, his sixth homer of the season, before he brought in a run on a groundout in the sixth.

Matt Crouse (0-2) took the loss, his second straight. Erie (13-18) looks to avoid an Akron (22-9) sweep today when the three-game series wraps up.
