Corry, Union City Minor Girls Combine to Zip Opponents, 58-0

Corry’s Ryann Brundage slides safely into third as Wattsburg’s Macy Pusajera (8) leaps for a high throw in yesterday’s District 3 Minor loser’s bracket game in Waterford.

WATERFORD — Talk about your mismatches.

Tuesday in District 3 Minor girls all-star loser’s bracket play, Corry and Union City scored lop-sided, shutout victories and will now play each other.

Corry wanted to make a statement after getting blanked 4-0 by Northwestern on Sunday. So it did it in a big way with a 24-0 win over Wattsburg.

On the adjacent field, Union City plated eight runs in the first inning before making an out, the UC girls eliminating hapless Iroquois, 34-0.

Corry and Union City will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
