CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS — Union City's undefeated softball team was tested in Thursday's region game with Cambridge Springs and the Lady Bears came through with another victory off a strong finish winning 8-1.

In the first set Makenna Moore, Kendyll Chamberlin and Payton McCray had a strong night at the service line, serving for 16 of the 25 points. In set 2, Corry had a balanced contribution from all of the servers. Lindsey Hasbrouck and Aubrey Vanderhoof each scored several kills as middle hitters.

The Grove City at Corry varsity and junior varsity softball games scheduled for Friday, May 21, have been rescheduled to Monday, May 17.  The varsity will start at 4 p.m. and the JV game will follow.

Corry’s region baseball game scheduled at General McLane for Wednesday was postponed to today with varsity starting at 4 p.m. Lucas Dyne, the lone senior on Corry’s baseball team, came on in relief in the third inning of Monday’s game against McDowell.
