Louise Goldner, 89, of North Center Street, Corry, Pa., died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at Cambridge Corry.
She was born March 24, 1931, in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter of the late Coy and Mary Alice Burgess Middleton.
As a young girl, Louise and her family moved to the Evans City area where she was raised and educated. As a young woman, she worked at Howard Johnsons and General Electric. In 1959, she moved to the Corry area. Louise’s main priority was raising and caring for her family; which she excelled at, always busying herself in the garden and canning lots of fruits, vegetables and jellies for her family. When her children were older, she worked several jobs including baby sitting and odd jobs such as house cleaning.
Louise was a faithful servant of Jehovah since 1969. She enjoyed doing many things including puzzles, painting, artwork and dancing. She also enjoyed going for rides in the car, nature, and watching the sunsets on Lake Erie. Above all, having a good laugh and spending time with her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by numerous sisters and brothers.
Louise is survived by two daughters, Angela Vavra and her husband Tom of Chesterfield, Va., and Leitha Goodwill and her husband Steve of Columbus, Pa.; three sons, James and Nate Goldner, both of Corry, Pa., and Ricky Goldner of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Donna Nutt of Corry, Pa., and Eula Higby and her husband Ron, also of Corry, Pa.; two brothers, Eddie Middleton of Cranberry, Pa., and Ronnie Middleton and his companion Judy of Corry, Pa.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Louise’s family wants to send out a special thank you to her spiritual brothers and sisters that reached out to her during her golden years and made sure she knew she was loved. She looks forward to being reunited with her dear friends, as many referred to them as the “golden girls.”
