Richard L. Lanyon, 77, of Wayne Street, Corry, died Tuesday morning, January 25, 2011, at his home following an extended illness.
Mr. Lanyon was born in Adamsville, Pa., on June 21, 1933. He was raised and educated in Conneaut Lake and had moved to Erie where he graduated from Erie Technical School in 1951.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Wieser Lanyon, on April 26, 2008, whom he married November 20, 1954, in Erie.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Leonard Lanyon; and a sister, Marian Coulson.
Richard is survived by a daughter, Linda Lanyon of Corry; and two sons, James Lanyon of Panama, N.Y., and Richard Lanyon of Corry.
Also surviving are a brother, Robert Lanyon of Aloha, Ore.; and three grandchildren, James Lanyon, Rebecca Bruno and Lucas Lanyon; as well as several nieces and nephews.
