Richard H. McCray, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed on Jan. 9, 2022, at the age of 74, while visiting family in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Rick was born on Jan. 27, 1947, in Corry, Pa. He graduated from Corry High School class of 1964.
He met his wife, Kaye Laughery McCray, while working at Corry Plastics in 1966 and married soon after on July 7, 1967. In 1976, Rick, Kaye, and their three children moved to Southern California in pursuit of his work in the plastics industry. Rick eventually opened his own plastic injection and molding company, SCR Molding, in 1984 and retired from the business in 2004. Rick and Kaye then moved back to Corry to enjoy their retirement with family and friends. Rick enjoyed golfing, wood working and traveling. For their 50th wedding anniversary, they traveled through Europe on a once-in-a-lifetime river cruise.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Laurence McCray; sister Mary Lou Frisina; and brother Charles (Chuck) McCray.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kaye McCray, and their three children Gail (Dennis) Mastny, Sheila (Bill) Trede and Scott (Cara) McCray. Rick had seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, Mackenzie, Brennyn, Jake, Landyn and Tristyn, along with two great-grandchildren, Layla and Emilia. He is also survived by his brother Howard McCray and sister Virginia (Ginny) Lindsey.
Family and friends will be notified of a celebration of life at a later date.
