Arnold Meade Lingenfelter, 73, of North Main Street, Corry, Pa., died on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020, at Saint Vincent Hospital, Erie, Pa.
He was born June 8, 1947, in Dubois, Pa., a son of the late James W. and Ethel Naomi Buhite Lingenfelter.
Arnold was raised and educated in Dubois area until he and his family moved to Corry. Following his graduation from Corry Area High School in 1966, he entered the United States Army. Arnold served in the Korean War; he was Honorably Discharged in 1968. Upon his return he began working as a machinist for General Electric in Erie, Pa., for many years. He then went to work for Mclnnes Steel as a machinist until their closing. He worked there for 34 plus years. He then returned to General Electric until he retired.
Arnold enjoyed working in his garage, riding his four-wheeler and going to visit his neighbors. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Arnold is survived by his wife Sylvia Costello Lingenfelter, whom he married July 3, 1971, in Corry, Pa.; two daughters, Shawna Reed and her husband Travis of Concord, N.C., and Jill English and her husband Dean of Corry, Pa.; a son, Joseph Lingenfelter of Union City, Pa.; two brothers, Arthur Lingenfelter and his wife Janet and James Lingenfelter and his wife Linda, all of Corry, Pa.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Dominik, Kora, Alexandra, Collin, Camryn, Kylie; and two great-granddaughters, Bailee and Elli.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
