David E. Sidelinger, 69, of West Washington Street, Corry, Pa., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, in his sleep.
He was born Aug. 19, 1952, in Erie, Pa., to the late Edward and Anne Kazimierowski Sidelinger.
David was raised and educated in the Erie area and graduated from Cathedral Prep. After high school, he attended Gannon University where he obtained his Master’s Degree in the Sciences. Upon graduation, he worked as a teacher at Cathedral Prep and eventually at Harbor Creek High School, where he worked for 20 plus years. He then became involved in many small businesses including antique dealing, maple syrup, farming, roofing and construction. David also opened an antique store in his home called Primitive Antiques.
David had many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, gardening, camping and he enjoyed the outdoors. He was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Corry, Pa.
He is survived by a daughter, Melanie Knowlton and her husband Keith of Cranesville, Pa.; three sons, Travis and his companion Kate McCoy, Greg and his wife, Shannon, both from Grove City, Ohio, and Shawn and his wife, Emily of Wellsville, Pa.; two sisters, Susan Miller and her husband Randy of Bedford, Pa., and Sharon Feinstein and her husband Larry of Presque Isle, Maine; and two brothers, Dennis and his wife Joanne of Union City, Pa., and Thomas and his wife Lori from Schellsburg, Pa.
David is also survived by 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews and close friend, Laurie Kerr.
Friends and family are invited to call at Bracken Funeral Home Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Thursday, Dec. 2, from noon until the time of the funeral service there at 2 p.m. The Rev. Matthew J. Strickenberger will officiate.
