Thomas C. Keener, 82, of Reed Road, Corry, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Keener was born July 25, 1927, in Indiana, Pa., a son of the late Irvin and Hannah Jewart Keener.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Marie Graham Keener, in 1957.
Mr. Keener was also preceded in death by a son, Walter Kysor; four sisters, Elsie, Charlotte, Betty and June; four brothers, Chuck, Cliff, Jim and Ron; an infant sibling; and three grandchildren, Tara Wells, Scott Oswalt and Gavin Edwards.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Arlene Taylor Kysor Keener; five daughters, Harriett Hall and her husband, Albert Catalfu, of Corry, Susie Oswalt and her husband, Richard, and Patti-O Jukes, all of Spartansburg, Joyce Kysor and her husband, Bob Snyder, of Mercer, and Lucretia Hopkins and her husband, Lyle, of Sherman, N.Y.; five sons, Thomas I. Keener and his wife, Vicky, of Corry, Frank Keener and his wife, Cindy, of Spring Creek, Malcolm Kysor of Waynesburg, Victor Keener of Conneaut Lake, and Jack Kysor of Spring Creek.
He is also survived by two sisters, Ruby Elifritz of Ohio and Rose Ann Bush of Florida; a brother, Les Keener and his wife, Dorothy of Pennsylvania; 30 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
