Marolyn J. Sadowski

Marolyn J. Sadowski, 80, formerly of Corry, Pa., died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at Manchester Commons, Erie, Pa., where she has resided for the last four years.

She was born Jan. 4, 1939, in Corry, Pa., a daughter of the late Roscoe and Laura A. Heath Beardsley.

During the early 1970s, Marolyn worked as a seamstress and then at Conelway School as a custodian. Later, she was a waitress at G.C. Murphy, Perkins, Country Foods, Michelangelo’s and the Corrian Hotel. She then worked as a cook at Corry Hospital and later at Corry Manor. Marolyn retired in 1992 at the age of 53 due to health issues.

Marolyn was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, Marolyn was preceded in death Nov. 15, 1992, by her husband, Robert John Sadowski, whom she married March 21, 1959, in Corry, Pa.; two grandchildren, Angel Davis and Thomas Davis; and a dear friend, Richard P. Pierce, whom she lived with in Ajo, Ariz., from 1993 until she moved back to Corry in 2009.

Marolyn is survived by three daughters, Cathy Dietrich and her husband, John, of Corry, Pa., Roberta Anderson of Corry, Pa., Lorilyn Rater and her husband, Dennis, of Spartansburg, Pa.; and three sons, Charles Davis and his wife, Janice, of Corry, Pa., Randolph Davis and his wife, Susan, of Erie, Pa., and James Sadowski and his wife, Kelli, of Venango, Pa.; and a brother, Ronald Rea of Union City, Pa.

She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Rindy and Charles Davis, Gina Graves, Randy, Brandy and John Davis, Scott, Sarah, Ryan and Laura Burlew, David Anderson, Robert (RJ) and Tiffani Danks, Justin, Jaysin, and Jamie Sadowski; and four stepgrandchildren, Adelia and Jeremiah Avery and Milton and Joey Swanson; and several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.           

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date by the family.

Burial will be held privately in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
