David Henry Tubbs, 71, of Spring Creek, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sept. 24, 2019, at Twinbrook Healthcare Center in Erie, Pennsylvania, after a lengthy illness. 

David, born in Warren, Pennsylvania, on Feb.  27, 1948, was the son of the late Virgil Leon Tubbs and Lillie Edna Henry Tubbs.

He was educated at Spring Creek Elementary School and Corry Area High School, graduating in 1966. He went on to serve his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1971. He was a talented welder and worked throughout Erie County during his lifetime.

He enjoyed antique cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was an avid reader and never met a cat he didn’t like. He spent most of his free time walking in the woods of his Spring Creek property. He was happiest there in its solitude.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Sally Jean Tubbs.

He is survived by his children, Heather Waild and her husband, Brian, of Casco, Maine, Annette Hatcher and her husband, Doug, of Etters, Pennsylvania, and Shannon and his wife, Mary, of Rotterdam, New York.

Grandchildren, Emma, Margaret, Lilly, Molly, Owen, Ivy and Garrus.

Following his wishes, there will be no service.
