John Charles Correll, 75, of Zelienople passed away at his home on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019.
Born Oct. 12, 1944, in Scranton, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Glorius Correll.
John graduated from Corry Area School District in June of 1962 and Edinboro University in 1966 with a B.S. in Chemistry. He taught school in Bemus Point, N.Y., for five years and Corry Area School District for 31 years. John coached Track, Football and Cross-Country. Retiring in June of 2003, he moved to Zelienople in 2008.
John is survived by his wife, Mary (Mick) Correll, whom he married Aug. 26, 1967; a daughter, Catharine (Jon) Palmer; a son, Timothy Correll; and four grandchildren: Abigail (Matt) Palmer Holmes, Lane Palmer, Bianca Correll and Sophia Correll.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia (Correll) Sterling; and two nephews, Scott Sterling and Brandon Koestner.
A memorial service to honor the life of John will be held on Dec. 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, PA 16063.
