Lynda Diane O’Harah, 79, of South Shady Avenue, Corry, Pa., died Sunday, July 25, 2021, at her home.
She was born June 6, 1942, in Erie, Pa., a daughter of the late George McDannel and Evelyn Larson McDannel Smith.
Lynda was raised and educated in Erie where she graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1960. She worked for various companies for several years and then stayed home to raise and care for her family. In 1988, Lynda worked for Rose’s Cleaning Service in Corry for several years and worked cleaning houses on her own for five years. She then worked as an ad inserter for The Corry Journal for over six years, retiring in 2000.
She enjoyed breeding and raising Yorkies, cooking and working on puzzles. Lynda especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Lynda is survived by her husband, Theodore A. O’Harah, whom she married Aug. 5, 1962, in Erie, Pa.; three daughters, Laurie Ploss and her husband Chester of Corry, Pa., Jean O’Harah of North East, Pa., and Tracy Christensen and her husband Timothy of Corry, Pa.; two sisters, Hilma Titus and her husband Richard of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Deborah Ward of Virginia; and four brothers, Doug Smith and his wife Paddi of Venice, Fla., Brian Smith of Palm Bay, Fla., Kent Smith of Erie, Pa., and George McDannel of Erie, Pa.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call at Bracken Funeral Home Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service there at noon. The Rev. Brian Eiss, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
