Kylie J. Peters

Kylie J. Peters, 32, of Pleasant Street, Union City, Pa.,died of a brief illness Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at Saint Vincent Hospital, Erie., Pa.

Kylie was born Aug. 9, 1989, in Corry, Pa., a daughter of Jeffrey and Annette Paver Peters of Corry, Pa.

Kylie was raised and educated in Corry, Pa., and graduated from Corry Area High School in 2008. She then attended college at Penn State Behrend in Erie, graduating in 2011, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Kylie then obtained a master’s degree in counseling from Edinboro University in 2014. She moved to Tennessee for a short time where she worked for Middle Tennessee State University. She then returned to the Corry area and worked for the Albion State Prison as a counselor and later for The Achievement Center in Erie. Most recently, she was a licensed professional counselor for Better Health based out of Philadelphia, Pa. Kylie also worked part time for Michael’s in Erie, Pa., as shift manager.

Kylie was a member of St. Pauls’ Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included crocheting blankets for family and friends, crafting, rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Michigan State Spartans. Kylie also enjoyed bowling and bowled in some leagues in Erie, Pa.

Kylie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Shirley Paver; her paternal grandparents; James and Vera Peters Sr.; and Uncle Ronald Paver.

Kylie is survived by her brother, Justin Peters and his companion, Katie Wenzel of Simpsonville, S.C..; aunts and uncles, James Peters Jr. and wife, Heather, Pam Ball and her husband Cris, Dr. Richard Paver Jr., and wife Emma, and Theresa Bowes and her husband Greg; and many cousins.

Kylie is also survived by her two cats, Gracie and Meredith.

Friends and family are invited to call at the Relevant Church, 100 W. South St., Corry, Pa ., on Monday, Dec. 6, from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service there at 6 p.m. Pastor Les Utegg will officiate.
