Coletta Scott Hotchkiss, 84, of Corry, Pa., passed away at home in Corry on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020.
A lifelong Corry resident, Coletta was born on Sept. 17, 1936, to William C. and Sarah F. May Scott.
She graduated from Corry High School in 1954 and Hamot Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. After starting a family, she began her career at Corry Memorial Hospital, where she worked until her retirement in 1998.
Coletta enjoyed knitting, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She attended the Corry Christian and Missionary Alliance Church throughout her life and was an active member of the Corry YMCA where she enjoyed the fellowship of the ladies in her water aerobics classes.
In addition to her parents (William C. Scott and Sarah F. May Scott), she was preceded in death by two sisters, Cynthia M. Peters and Phyllis M. Leney and her husband Richard; and two brothers; William J. Scott and his wife Marion, and Charles V. Scott.
Coletta is survived by one brother, Jack A. Scott and his wife Carol of Loveland, Colorado; and one sister-in-law, Janet Stroup Scott, wife of the late Charles V. Scott of Conneautville, Pennsylvania.
She is also survived by three sons, Michael W. Scott of Gettysburg, Pa., Matthew L. Hotchkiss (Marissa Hagy) of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Stephen S. (Gina) Hotchkiss of Union City, Pa., one daughter, Kristin L. (Stephen) Hornick of Zebulon, N.C., and three grandchildren, Lauren and Cory Hotchkiss, and Tyler Hornick, and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery following a private graveside service.
A public memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
