Kenneth G. Easton “Pappy”, age 86, of Harborcreek Twp., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 21, 2010.
Ken was born in Huntingdon, Pa. on January 16, 1924, son of the late George and Florence Easton. Ken was employed as a welder at Bucyrus Erie for 29 years. He then worked at Riley Stoker until his retirement. He was an avid bowler and horseshoe player. Ken had an impressive military career with the U.S. Marines. He was in five major battles including the Third Wave of Iwo Jima. He was a demolitions and marksman expert.
Ken is survived by his wife of 62 years, Hazel Feagley Easton; five children, Darlene Way (Jeffrey) of Wesleyville, Kenneth S. Easton (Sharon) and Charles D. Easton (Pamela) all of Erie, Sharon Lomax (Jerry) of North Carolina and Colleen Froess (Tom) of Wattsburg; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one soon to be born; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by two sisters, Madelyn Jean Hooper and Elaine Henney.
