Joanne M. Terwilliger, 82, formerly of Route 89, Spartansburg, Pa., died on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Corry Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Aug. 14, 1932, in Erie, Pa., a daughter of the late Theodore and Thelma Murdock Campbell.
Joanne was raised and educated in Union City, Pa.
Following high school, her main priority was caring for her family and home. Later, she attended beautician school in Erie and then operated a beauty shop in Tidioute for several years. In the early 1970s, Joanne and her family moved to Route 89 near Buells Corners. She had lived there until moving to the Compassionate Care Home five years ago.
She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death on May 19, 1993, by her husband, Theodore R. Terwilliger Sr., whom she married on Sept. 3, 1956, in Clymer, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Kathi Terwilliger; a son-in-law, Stephen Ester; three sisters, Shirley Nichols, Martha Gee and Lucille Campbell; a brother, Frederick Miller Campbell; a grandson, Russell Linkerhof; and a great-grandson, Dustin McDonald.
Joanne is survived by three daughters, Margaret “Peg” Nothum and her husband, Scott, of Union City, Pa., Merry Mott and her husband, Boyd, of Titusville, Pa., and Jean Kinnear and her husband, Shane, of Titusville, Pa.; three sons, Theodore R. Terwilliger Jr. and Lisa Suddarth of Carlton, Pa., Charles R. Terwilliger and his wife, Mary, of Titusville, Pa., and Edward Bednaro and his wife, Janet, of Erie, Pa.; a sister, Joyce Johnson of Corry, Pa.; and a brother, Theodore Campbell of Corry, Pa.
She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., and attend the funeral service there on Monday at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg, Pa.
