Florence Brooks Dahl, 97, formerly of E. South St., Corry, Pa., died Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Corry Manor.
She was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Corry, Pa., a daughter of the late Stephen and Marie Kirch Brooks.
Florence was raised and educated in Corry and graduated from Corry High School in 1940. She worked at First National Bank for several years prior to her marriage in 1961 to Carl Dahl. After marriage, her main priority was raising and caring for her children. Florence loved children and provided day care for many other children for 20 years.
She was very active at First United Methodist Church, taught Sunday school for many years and was active in the Ladies’ group.
In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death Dec. 31, 2018, by her husband, Carl W. Dahl, whom she married Nov. 4, 1961, in Corry, Pa.; a son, Randall “Randy” Dahl; and a brother, Clinton Howard Brooks.
Florence is survived by a daughter, Brenda Flores of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and two sons, Bradley Dahl and his wife Donna of Hoover, Ala., and Stephen Dahl of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Allison, Andrew and Daniela; and three great-grandchildren, Leo, Elisa and Skyla.
Family and friends were invited to attend a graveside service at Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa., today at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jonathan Fehl, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiated.
