Lee Ralph Burlingham, 74, formerly of Amity Township, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, in Asheville, N.C.
Lee was the son of the late Ralph and Martha Burlingham and the husband of the late Leta “Rink” Burlingham.
He was born in Amity Township and attended Arbuckle and Wattsburg schools. He worked on his father’s farm and other farms in the area until 1963, when he moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., where he worked as a mechanic.
In 1965, he moved to North Carolina and worked as a mechanic and in farming around the area until his passing.
Lee enjoyed skeet shooting, playing cards and playing with his grandchildren.
He was a kind person with a gentle soul and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Lee is survived by his daughter, Sherri Osbahr; his sons, Harold “Herkie” Burlingham, and Tony and Dan Slagle; his sisters, Gena Packo, Sharon Powers, Diann Daleski, Linda Hall and Mary Kightlinger; and his brothers, Carter Sherman, Donald Burlingham and Patrick Scott.
