Margaret J. Patterson, 93, of Corry, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at the Corry Manor.
She was born March 23, 1918, in Dagus Mines, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Margaret Jackson.
Margaret was a graduate of Celeron High School in Celeron, N.Y. She had worked several jobs in the Corry area, including Aero Supply, Buckley Dunton and Elgin Electronics, from where she retired.
She was a former member of the Presbyterian Church of Jamestown, N.Y., and the Corry Garden Club.
Margaret loved flowers and gardening, swimming at the YMCA and animals, especially cats. She was a fun-loving person and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to her camp in Tidioute with her husband, Don.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Donald Patterson; a nephew she raised, John Jackson; and by three brothers.
Survivors include a niece, Carolyn Ludweijak of Florida; a nephew, Robert Jackson and his wife, Donna, of California, whom she raised after their mother died; four nieces, Judy Herbach, Florine Ackley and her husband, Gordon, Jean Short and her husband Larry and Nancy Carlson; a nephew, Donald Jackson and his wife, Fern, all of the Jamestown, N.Y., areas.
Many great-nieces and great-nephews and her extended family, Mike and Geneva Baker, also survive.
Friends may call Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of a 2 p.m. funeral service at Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry. The Rev. Alan P. Coudreit of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Corry, will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry.
