Judith married David Swanson Sr. on January 21, 1957.

She had been employed at Corry/Jamestown Manufacturing for over 20 years, working in various departments. She was retired.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donn and Larry Arnold; and a sister, Jody Tobin.

Besides her husband, David Swanson Sr., of Brockway, Judith is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Sean) Garred and Teri Genco, all of DuBois; one son, David (Joni) Swanson Jr. of Beaverdam, Pa.; one brother, Gary Arnold of Pittsburgh, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren.

Judith’s daughter, Teri, writes:

“Today is a sad day. Our beloved mom Judy passed away. Time seems to momentarily stand still. Yet life goes on all around you. Such a monumental loss, how can that be?

“She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. She dearly loved all her grandchildren, and spent many happy times with them making cookies and sweet memories. She was a wonderful grandma.

“Our dear father will surely be lost without his other half, but the fact that they spent 54 loving years together is a tribute to a marriage that stood the test of time. They were great companions, excellent parents, and stood by their vows.

“She had many good and true friends who will surely miss her. She was always a great listener, and would do anything for her friends and family.

“We, her children, will think about her and miss her every day for the rest of our lives. We all love you and miss you mom.

“We are saddened beyond words to lose you, but we also know you are at peace now, and reunited with those departed who you loved and were waiting to reunite with you again. Rest in peace.”

There will be no public visitation.
