Martha Jean Carroll McKinney, 89, of Union City, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at UPMC Hamot.
She was born on Sept. 30, 1932, in Erie, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Charles William Carroll and Virginia McCray Carroll.
She married Glenn Alan McKinney Jr. on Nov. 23, 1950. He has preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Union City High School and a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Union City.
Martha enjoyed playing games and was very competitive, but what she loved more than anything was spending time with her family and supporting them in any way she was able.
She is survived by six children, Glenn Alan McKinney III and his wife Debbie of Union City, Cheryle Wade and her husband Dennis of Corry, Susan Olmstead and her husband David of Union City, Fred McKinney of Union City, Virginia More and her husband Timothy of Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, and Lynda Parkinson and her husband Charles of Elizabeth, Colorado; 24 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; her sister, Janice Miller and her husband Cecil of Jamestown, New York; two nephews; and a niece.
In addition to her husband; she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Dean McKinney; and a great-grandchild, Elliot Lott.
Private burial will take place at McCray Cemetery, Corry.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
