Elizabeth A. Jackson, 92, formerly of East South Street, Corry, died on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009.

She was born in Dunkirk, N.Y. on Nov. 12, 1916, a daughter of the late George and Agnes McNerney Monroe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Utah Jackson, on April 7, 1987. They were married in October of 1944 in Bastogne, Belgium.

She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Agnes Cogswell, Peggy Mahaffey, Fritzy Sullivan, Kay Sullivan, Gertrude Baxter and Mary Costell; and two brothers, John and Art Monroe.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by a daughter, Jean M. Hess of Corry; and three sons, John C. Jackson and his wife, Nancy, of Clifton Forge, VA, Jay M. Jackson and his wife, Rebecca, of McMurray, Pa and Jeff T. Jackson and his wife, Darlene, of Corry.

Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
