Victor V. Van Tassel III, 57, of Cold Spring Road, Spartansburg, Pa., died Monday March 29, 2021, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 23, 1963, in Corry, Pa., a son of Audrey Cross Van Tassel of Bradford, Pa., and the late Victor V. Van Tassel Jr.
When he was younger, Victor moved to Perry, Ohio, where he was raised and educated, graduating from Perry High School in 1982. He then enlisted into the United States Navy and served on the USS Antrim where he was a fireman. He has lived in the Spartansburg area most of his life and was self employed as a plumber.
Victor enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
In addition to his father, Victor was preceded in death by a nephew, Jimmy Dufala.
Victor is survived by a daughter, Desiree Van Tassel of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a son, Victor V. Van Tassel IV of Corry, Pa.; two sisters, one brother, and a niece and nephew.
Also surviving him are four honorary grandchildren, Kessli, Jameson, Jon and Shawntel.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, PA 16407. Due to CDC regulations, masks and social distancing will be required.
