Bertha Arredondo Deutsch, 70, of Charles Town, West Virginia, and formerly of Elgin, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her residence on the morning of Monday, Oct. 26 2020.
Fondly known to her friends and family as Terri, her contagious smile and bubbly personality will be sorely missed by everyone that knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing there is one more Angel looking down on all of us.
Terri was born in San Antonio, Texas, on July 20, 1950, the daughter of the late Gilbert Arredondo and Margaret A. (Charles V.) Stefanic. She attended East Central High School graduating in 1968. Two years later while on a visit to Corry, Pennsylvania, she met and married the love of her life — celebrating 50 years of marriage in September.
Surviving with her loving husband, Richard T. Deutsch are two daughters, Cassandra L. DeGeorge and her husband Annunziato of Berryville, Virginia, and Mary E. Pritchett and her husband Michael of Stephenson, Virginia; two granddaughters, Ava and Eden DeGeorge; one grand-dog Apollo Pritchett; two stepsons, Keith A. Deutsch of Lima, Ohio, and Richard C. (Vicki) Deutsch of Corry, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Christopher, Craig (Rachel), Megan, Joshua and Rachel Deutsch; and great-grandchildren Madison, Levi and Lance Deutsch. Also surviving are siblings Robert (Joni) Stefanic, Norma (David) Maze, Charles (Barbara) Stefanic, Billy (Sue) Stefanic, John Paul (Denise) Stefanic and Karen Stefanic, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother in infancy, Joseph Patrick Stefanic; and one sister, Margarita "Weda" Goodrich.
Funeral services will be held by the family privately.
Donations may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association.
