Margo "Diane" VanCise, 71, of West Washington Street, Corry, Pa., died Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Saint Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pa.
Diane was born July 18, 1939, in Corry, a daughter of the late Michael E. Winne and Florence Woodring Winne Sammis.
She was raised and educated in Corry, where she graduated from Corry Area High School in 1957.
Diane was a homemaker for several years before she began employment at Tonnard Manufacturing Corp. She retired from there in 2005 after 40 years with the company. In addition, she had worked at Buyer’s Fair and Rite Aid, both in Corry.
Diane was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Corry. She enjoyed flower gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth VanCise Jr.; a sister, Judith Hurlbert; and a brother, David Winne.
She is survived by two daughters, Margo Hereim and her husband, Paul, of Old Saybrook, Conn., and Patty Davis and her companion, Christopher Parker, of Corry; a son, Stanley McCoy and his spouse, Joseph McCoy, of Northampton, Mass.; two sisters, Jill Pasqualini and her husband, Jim, of Connecticut, and Peggy Calemo and her husband, Jack, of Virginia; and two brothers, Gale Winne and his wife, Martha, of Columbus, Pa., and Peter Sammis and his wife, Vicky, of Connecticut.
Diane is also survived by six grandchildren, Melessia Dyne and her husband, Sam, Sarah Davis, Kitrina Burlew and her husband, Ryan, Jason Bridges, Mitchell Davis and Rebecca VanCise; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., and may attend a funeral service there Thursday at 10 a.m. The Rev. John Rough will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
