Jerry Robert Berkhous Sr., 78, of Union City, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Jan. 2, 1942, in Corry, a son of Homer Berkhous and Lucille Craker Berkhous.
He married Suzanne K. McWilliams on May 17, 2003.
He owned and operated Expert Drywall and Finishing Company for 32 years, and was a member of the Union City Moose Club, Corry VFW Post 264, and Union City American Legion Post 237.
Jerry enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, camping, gardening, and canning with his wife, Sue.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne of Union City; three daughters, Christina Eliason and her husband David of Findley Lake, N.Y., Sallie Ross and her husband Eric of Pittsfield, and Amy Hasbrouck of Erie; five sons, Jerry Berkhous Jr. and his wife Shalee of Daytona Beach, Fla., James Berkhous and his wife Nicole of West Hickory, Travis Berkhous and his wife Johnelle of Titusville, Dave Hasbrouck and his wife Bobbie Jean of Maryland, and Doug Hasbrouck and his wife Christine of Arizona; 27 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sally Hellyer of Elgin and Katherine Vadovich and her husband Bill of Hawaii; a bother, Harris Berkhous of Corry; his mother-in-law, Janet McWilliams of Meadville; a special friend, Bo Bedow; and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Polly Ann Berkhous and Charlene Lynne Farr; a brother, Charles Berkhous; a sister, Dorothy Gibbs; and his father-in-law, Clair McWilliams.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday, Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 62 S. Main St., Union City. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tom Hunsberger of Christian Missionary Alliance officiating.
Private burial will take place at a later date in Lawn Cemetery of Beaverdam.
